With the most hours of sunshine and the highest temperature peaks, Andau is known as Austria’s heat pole. As the warmest community, in combination with the mineral gravel soils, it offers ideal conditions for mature and full-bodied wines.

Already under the founder Johann Scheiblhofer, the winery was not only known for its quality wines, but above all for its top red wine „Big John“.

With his son, Erich Scheiblhofer, one of the young guard is at the helm, who caused a sensation with his top red wine qualities and unmistakable style.

Around 104 hectares of own land in the best locations in Andau make the winery one of the largest in Burgenland. A positive attitude to life combined with the joy of doing things create a unique environment that makes a visit an experience.
